Magic sunrise

Around 4 o'clock the next morning we had to get up because we wanted to watch the sunrise over the salt desert. One of the most magical moments of my whole trip.

The salt desert Salar de Uyuni is one of the most unique places in the world. I was there at exactly the right time - mid February. It was not too much and not too little rain. These were the perfect conditions for everything to be reflected beautifully in the salt desert. I have never seen such an impressive sunrise before in my life, like from a photo book. The temperatures were icy, I wore all the thick clothes I had. About 0 degrees, my feet were frozen, because I only had my flip-flops on.

A island full of cactuses in the desert

We drove on to the Isla Incahuasi, on which there are centuries-old cactuses - in the middle of the desert. Otherwise, far and wide, where you look is only white salt desert to see. The perfect place for some funny photos.

The last stops of our journey brought us to a sea of flags and to the deserted railway station of the desert. Finally we were dropped off in Uyuni and we said goodbye to each other at lunch. An incredibly pleasant tour which lasted for 3 days!
