The most beautiful city of Bolivia

After two nights I left Potosi heading for Sucre. During the more than 3-hour bus ride there are no stops and toilets are usually not available (or not working) in Bolivian buses. Thus, it is recommended not to drink anything before and during a bus trip.

Sucre is officially the capital of Bolivia, but the seat of government is in La Paz. The city is located at an altitude of 2300 meters, which is quite low for Bolivia. It is named after the revolutionary leader Sucre. Thanks to its whitewashed colonial buildings, bell towers and roof terraces it is known as the most beautiful city of Bolivia. It is quite a small city, so you can see the city within 1 day.

Cheap but wet beds

Bolivia is a cheap travel country, so in Sucre I had a room with 3 beds for me absolutely alone in the Casa de Huespedes Isabella - for about 11 $ per night. Fortunately I had 3 beds, because one night a storm came over Sucre, so it rained into my room and 2 of the 3 beds got wet.

In the city I met the 2 Israeli women again and walked with them through the city and visited a museum. My itching, caused by the tablets I had to take because of the infected insect bite, got worse and I rested for one day before I flew to Cochabamba the next day.
