The culinary capital of Bolivia
From Sucre, I flew to Cochabamba. I did not feel like a long bus trip, so I preferred to take the plane, because bus trips in Bolivia take a long time due to the many mountain roads.
I reached Cochamba, a city in central Bolivia in a valley surrounded by the Andes, also known as a garden city, because the city has good temperatures all year round. Cochabamba is known as the culinary capital of Bolivia. So you can live here better than in other Bolivian cities. But I do not like the Bolivian cuisine much, it is too meat-based for me.
Formerly the biggest Jesus statue in the world
Together with another German I visited Cristo de la Concordia, a huge Jesus statue. It is 265 meters high and was the largest Jesus statue in the world when it was completed in 1994. From the hill on which the statue is located, you have a great view of the city and the surrounding plateau.
In the evening I met a Chilean psychologist who had moved to Bolivia because of a family crisis and now lives in Germany. The next day I took the bus to La Paz.
